Senior: Grace

I don't have the opportunity to photograph many seniors, so when I am asked, it's always an exciting adventure! I've had the pleasure of capturing two of Grace's sisters' weddings, so it was extra fun documenting this exciting life event for her!

Grace is full of kindness and creativity, and I feel that these photos capture those qualities in her. She brought her guitar along and serenaded us with "Stairway to Heaven" as I snapped away. I certainly enjoy watching a girl's connection with her guitar, since I also learned to play in high school!

The cool fall air and looming clouds gave us a moody feel to the session, and we only had to hide undercover for five minutes as the rain passed through! Grace was such a good sport as we navigated the weather and outfit changes, but I think we were all glad to cozy up inside once our time together was finished!

Best wishes, Grace, as you finish up high school, and I am excited to find out where your journey takes you after you graduate!

Married: Matt & Nan

This intimate backyard wedding was made of dreams!! From the sand ceremony to the handwritten decorations, every detail was crafted with love and care. It is always such a joy to watch two families join together and begin a new chapter as one and this was no exception. There was so much love surrounding these two as they said their vows and many tears of joy were shed throughout the day. I am so thankful to have been chosen to capture this beautiful celebration and hope to photograph more like it in the future!

Also, if you are planning a wedding and have relatives with a backyard as beautiful as this, always slash your guest list and opt for a smaller celebration. Let these photos do the talking - you will not regret your decision!

Friendship: Garden Party

When you are pregnant and find out you are having a little girl, this is what your dreams are made of. Warm summer fields, crisp white dresses, delicate flower crowns, tea parties and sweet little giggles. When you find out two of your close friends are simultaneously pregnant with little girls, you cannot wait to watch them become friends so they can share these special memories together.

Now that our three girls are old enough to understand what friendship means, we had to capture their sweetness with a photo shoot. We had the best time gathering props and outfits to style the session. I simply adore the butterfly tea set! I am also thankful we found coordinating outfits for them to wear!

I had the absolute best time taking pictures of our girls and we are all hoping that this happens again someday!
